Founded in 2011, the South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) is the in-house legal service for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth.

SLLP is committed to being a high performing in-house shared legal service which plays an essential part in the achievement of the priorities and objectives of our five local authorities for the benefit of their communities.

The partnership has 150-160 staff and an annual turnover of £14 million. Over 1 million people are represented by the constituent councils we serve. Operating at scale has enabled us to recruit and retain excellent staff and provide a consistently high standard of service to our five Boroughs

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer with substantial experience in commercial property law, ideally within local government. You will manage complex property matters, lead and support a team of lawyers and legal assistants, and work closely with senior clients to deliver an excellent legal service.  You will be a motivated and flexible team player, able to work to tight deadlines, demonstrate sound judgement and lead by example.

SLLP’s Vision & Values include a commitment to improving services through the development of our staff in an inclusive and supportive environment. We are based in Southwest London and offer a wide range of flexible working options, including hybrid working, 9 day fortnight and have developed a number of health and well-being initiatives over the years. Office attendance one day a week is mandatory.

If you think you have the skills/experience we are looking for and share the same values, then we want to hear from you.

CV’s and applications completed via AI will not be considered/accepted.
