We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Principal Network Coordination Officer to join our team.
Leading the Network Coordination team, you will be responsible for ensuring we are delivering safer, healthier, and well-coordinated roadworks, streetworks and other activities on Merton’s road network for all our communities.
Reporting to the Network Manager within the Sustainable Transport Highways and Climate service, you will be a dynamic and motivated individual who will manage and oversee the management of Merton’s road network.
You will be responsible for advising, supporting, developing, and mentoring staff including the management of five Network Coordination Officers. You will manage road and street works including the management of events, developments and licensing activities. As well as supporting the Network Manager to actively engage in the monitoring, reporting and delivery of performance outcomes.
You will also need to be a team player, working with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects and working closely with the other members of the team as well as officers within other teams to ensure that Merton’s road network is well managed.
You will be highly motivated, with a flexible approach and an eagerness to develop existing competencies as well as attaining new skills.
You will need to be experienced in the management of road and street works with a recognised professional qualification.
