Performance Analyst (Education) 

We are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Performance team in the Children, Lifelong Learning and Families Department at the London Borough of Merton. This is a great opportunity to join a group of analysts who support the Department with statutory reporting, data analysis and data quality. The role will have a focus on Education, although there may be opportunities to work across other areas in the Department. We would consider candidates for part or full time hours.

You will be part of a team who: 

  • Co-ordinate and deliver data collections and statutory return
  • Extract data from case management systems to develop reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity and timeliness
  • Develop and contribute to the co-ordination and production of clear and accessible management information, analysis and dissemination 
  • Deliver continuous improvement of data quality and data visualisation and accessibility
  • Maintain and develop shared systems in order to improve the supply and use of high-quality data across the department

About you

You will bring: 

  • Knowledge of current legislation and reporting requirements within a Children's Services context, ideally Education
  • Good working knowledge of databases and case management systems such as Synergy or Mosaic
  • Experience of collecting, analysing and visualising data to inform evidence based decision making 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, and supporting colleagues across divisional / departmental and partnership projects
