Are you passionate about the power of great internal communication to shape culture, inspire change, and bring people together? We’re looking for a creative and proactive Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to help deliver our ambitious new strategy – and put Merton’s 2,000+ staff at the heart of the story.

It’s an exciting time to join Merton Council. We’re rolling out a fresh approach to internal communications, with new channels and a renewed focus on collaboration, connection, and clarity. We’re here to:

• Boost morale and celebrate the great work our staff do every day
• Support and guide teams through change
• Bring our senior leaders closer to staff
• Help everyone see the bigger picture and their place in it
• Strengthen our culture and support retention
• Make sure staff feel heard, valued, and informed

You’ll play a key role in shaping content, launching new channels, supporting two-way communication, and making sure our messages cut through – from the frontline to the leadership team.
